Sharp-edged gust
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008824
A sudden, intense, and brief increase in wind speed that occurs over a very short distance or duration. These gusts are characterized by an abrupt change in wind velocity, often associated with turbulent airflow around obstacles or within convective systems.
