Steradian
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009252
The standard unit of solid angle, used to describe the two-dimensional angular span in three-dimensional space. A solid angle in steradians is defined as the ratio of the area of a spherical surface patch to the square of the sphere's radius. The entire celestial sphere encompasses a solid angle of 4π steradians, equivalent to approximately 41,253 square degrees.
