Thermoclinicity

A measure of the horizontal gradient of temperature within a fluid, particularly in the ocean or atmosphere. It quantifies the rate at which temperature changes across a horizontal distance. High thermoclinicity indicates strong temperature fronts, which are often associated with significant weather or oceanographic phenomena.
