Vortex tube
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010068
A device that separates a compressed gas stream into two parts: one hot and one cold, without any moving parts. It operates on the principle of vortex flow, where the gas is introduced tangentially into a cylindrical chamber, creating a high-speed swirl.
