Waterlogged

Describing soil or ground that is saturated with water to the extent that air is excluded from the pore spaces. This condition often occurs after heavy rainfall or prolonged flooding, impeding root respiration and affecting plant growth. Waterlogging can lead to anaerobic conditions in the soil.
