Yaw

The rotational motion of an aircraft or other object about its vertical axis, causing the nose to move left or right. This movement is distinct from pitch, which is rotation about the lateral axis, and roll, which is rotation about the longitudinal axis. Yaw is controlled by the rudder on an aircraft.
