Pitch
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007953
The angular rotation of an aircraft or atmospheric sensor package around its lateral axis, which is perpendicular to the direction of flight. This motion causes the nose of the aircraft to move up or down relative to the horizon. Pitch is one of the three primary axes of rotation, alongside roll and yaw, that describe an object's orientation in three-dimensional space.
