Autotracking
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000221
The automated process of identifying and following a seismic horizon or geological feature throughout a seismic dataset. Algorithms analyze seismic attributes like amplitude, phase, and continuity to connect points along the same event. This technique is widely used in seismic interpretation to generate structural maps and reduce manual picking time.
