Flattened section
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001455
A seismic section where a specific reflection horizon has been made horizontal by applying a time shift to all traces. This process removes structural dip and allows for easier visualization of stratigraphic features or subtle changes within the flattened horizon. It is a common technique in seismic interpretation to analyze depositional patterns.
