Blast sleeve

A protective sleeve installed in the wellbore to shield tubing from erosion and abrasion during high-velocity production, so that the sleeve wears in the tubing's place. It is related to the blast joint, a section of tubing installed to protect against erosion caused by fast-moving fluids.
