Blender

A piece of surface equipment used in hydraulic fracturing operations to mix dry proppant with liquid fracturing fluid and chemical additives. It creates a homogeneous slurry that is then pumped downhole to fracture the formation. The blender's capacity is measured in barrels per minute or cubic feet per minute of slurry output.
