Bounded reservoir
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000433
A reservoir that is completely enclosed by impermeable barriers or has reached a state where its outer boundaries significantly affect fluid flow and pressure behavior. During a well test, the pressure response eventually deviates from infinite-acting behavior as the pressure transient reaches these boundaries. This condition is often indicated by a characteristic slope on a pressure diagnostic plot.
