Steady-state behavior
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003604
A flow condition in a reservoir where both the pressure and flow rate at any point remain constant over time. This implies that the rate of fluid entering a given volume equals the rate of fluid leaving it. True steady-state flow is rarely achieved in reservoirs but can be approximated in certain boundary-dominated flow scenarios.
