Boyle's Law
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000439
A fundamental gas law stating that for a fixed amount of an ideal gas kept at a constant temperature, the pressure and volume are inversely proportional. As pressure increases, volume decreases proportionally. This principle is applied in laboratory measurements of rock porosity and gas volume calculations in reservoirs.
