C pump

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000509

A centrifugal pump of the kind used at a rig or well site to move large volumes of liquid at low pressure, such as water, mud or treatment fluid. A spinning impeller flings the liquid outward into the pump casing, so the flow is smooth and continuous. It often charges the suction of a high-pressure reciprocating pump such as a triplex pump.
