Casing string

A continuous length of casing pipe made up of multiple joints, run into the wellbore and cemented in place. Several casing strings of progressively smaller diameters are typically installed to reach the target depth and isolate different formations. Each string serves a specific purpose, such as surface, intermediate, or production casing.
