Crosscorrelate

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000897

To measure the similarity between two time series as a function of the time lag applied to one of them. In seismic processing, this operation is used to determine time shifts between traces, identify coherent events, or estimate the impulse response of a system. The result is a crosscorrelation function.
