Lag

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002113

A delay or time difference between two related events or signals in seismic data. It can refer to the time shift required to align two seismic traces or the delay in a sensor's response to a change in the measured parameter. In seismic processing, lag analysis is used for velocity estimation, statics correction, and correlating well logs with seismic data.
