Measure point
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002308
The specific physical location on a logging tool where a sensor makes its measurement. Each sensor on a tool string has a different measure point, and their positions relative to a reference point on the tool are precisely known. During log processing, data from all sensors are depth-shifted to align them to a common depth reference point.
