Measurement range
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002312
The span of values that a logging tool or sensor can accurately measure, from its minimum to its maximum detectable limit. This range is determined by the tool's physical design, sensor technology, and electronic components, defining the boundaries of its reliable operation. For example, a standard induction resistivity tool has a measurement range from approximately 0.2 to 2,000 ohm-meters, outside of which its readings become saturated or inaccurate.
