Maximum treating pressure
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002302
The highest pressure that can be applied to a wellbore during a stimulation or treatment operation without causing unintended damage or fracturing the formation. This pressure limit is determined by the mechanical integrity of the wellbore tubulars and the fracture gradient of the reservoir rock. Exceeding this pressure can lead to lost circulation or formation breakdown.
