Ovality limit
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002653
The maximum permissible deviation from a perfectly circular cross-section for a tubular component, such as casing or tubing, within a wellbore. Exceeding this limit indicates deformation that can hinder the passage of tools, restrict flow, or compromise the structural integrity of the pipe. Ovality is typically measured as the difference between the maximum and minimum internal diameters.
