Detail log
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001032
A well log plotted at an expanded depth scale so the formation can be examined in fine detail, in contrast with correlation logs plotted at smaller scales such as 1:500. The most common detail scales are 1:200, or 5 inches per 100 feet. The term describes how the data are displayed, not a special high-resolution measurement or a tool type such as an imager.
