Double block-and-bleed
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001145
A valve configuration that provides a positive shutoff of fluid flow by using two in-line block valves with a bleed valve in between them. This arrangement allows for the isolation of a section of pipe or equipment, with the bleed valve releasing any trapped pressure or fluid between the block valves. It is a safety measure to prevent accidental release or flow during maintenance or repair operations.
