Drill bit

A cutting tool attached to the end of the drill string that grinds, scrapes, or shears rock to create a wellbore. It consists of a body, cutting elements, and nozzles for drilling fluid circulation. Common types include roller cone bits and fixed cutter bits, such as polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) bits.
