Polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) bit
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002850
A type of drill bit that uses synthetic diamond cutters, known as polycrystalline diamond compacts, bonded to a tungsten carbide matrix. PDC bits are highly efficient for drilling through soft to medium-hard formations, offering high penetration rates and extended bit life. They are widely used in directional and horizontal drilling applications.
