Polyanionic lignin
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002849
A modified natural polymer derived from lignin, used as a deflocculant and fluid loss control agent in drilling fluids. It works by adsorbing onto clay particles, imparting a negative charge that causes them to repel each other, thus reducing viscosity and gel strength. This additive is particularly effective in high-temperature environments.
