Drilling rate

The speed at which the drill bit deepens the wellbore, also known as the rate of penetration (ROP). It is measured in units of distance per time, such as feet per hour or meters per hour. ROP is influenced by factors including rock type, weight on bit, rotary speed, mud properties, and bit condition.
