Dual water
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004306
A model used in petrophysics to account for the electrical conductivity of both free formation water and clay-bound water within a reservoir rock. It treats these two water types as having distinct resistivities and volumes, impacting the overall resistivity measurement. This model is particularly relevant in shaly sands where clay minerals significantly influence electrical properties.
