Conductive rock matrix model
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000808
A petrophysical model used to interpret resistivity logs in formations where the rock matrix itself exhibits electrical conductivity, rather than being purely resistive. This model accounts for the contribution of conductive minerals, such as clays or pyrite, to the overall formation conductivity. It is an alternative to the Archie equation, which assumes a non-conductive matrix.
