Explosive seismic data
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001355
Seismic data acquired using explosive charges as the energy source to generate seismic waves. The detonation creates a broadband seismic signal that propagates through the subsurface and is recorded by geophones. This type of source is effective for deep penetration and high signal-to-noise ratios, particularly in hard rock environments or for regional surveys.
