Fish eye

An undissolved or partially hydrated lump of polymer or other solid additive in a drilling fluid, resembling the appearance of a fish's eye. These can occur when powdered materials are not properly dispersed or mixed into the mud. Fish eyes can lead to inconsistent fluid properties and potential plugging of screens or nozzles.
