Grapple

A downhole tool with hinged, claw-like arms or slips designed to retrieve lost or stuck objects from a wellbore. The tool is lowered into the well, and its arms are activated to grip the fish, allowing it to be pulled to the surface. Grapples are selected based on the size and shape of the object to be recovered.
