Fitting

A component used to connect pipe sections or other equipment in a piping system. Fittings allow for changes in direction, size, or branching of flow, and can also provide connections for instrumentation or isolation. Common types include elbows, tees, reducers, couplings, and flanges, manufactured from materials compatible with the fluid and operating conditions.
