Five-spot

A common well pattern used in secondary and enhanced oil recovery, consisting of four production wells at the corners of a square and one injection well in the center. This pattern aims to achieve efficient sweep of the reservoir by injecting fluid from the central well to push oil towards the surrounding producers. Variants include inverted five-spot patterns.
