Flush production
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001516
The initial period of high production rates from a newly completed or recompleted oil or gas well. This phase occurs when the reservoir pressure is at its highest and the wellbore is free of obstructions, allowing fluids to flow readily. Flush production rates decline as reservoir pressure depletes or as water and gas breakthrough occurs, eventually stabilizing into a more gradual decline curve.
