Frac job

A common operation in which a fracturing fluid, typically water mixed with proppant, is injected into a wellbore at high pressure to create or enlarge fractures in the reservoir rock. This process enhances the flow of hydrocarbons to the well. The success of a frac job is measured by the sustained increase in production rates.
