Acid frac
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000029
A stimulation treatment that combines hydraulic fracturing with acidizing to enhance hydrocarbon production from carbonate reservoirs. Acid is injected at high pressure to create and enlarge fractures, dissolving the rock matrix and bypassing formation damage. This process is effective in limestone and dolomite formations, creating conductive flow paths for oil and gas.
