Fracture acidizing
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001567
A stimulation technique that involves injecting acid at pressures high enough to fracture the reservoir rock, creating conductive channels. The acid then dissolves portions of the rock matrix along these fractures, enlarging them and improving fluid flow. This method is particularly effective in carbonate reservoirs where the acid reacts readily with the rock.
