Stimulation fluid
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003621
A specialized fluid pumped into a wellbore to enhance the productivity of a reservoir by improving the flow of hydrocarbons. These fluids can be acid solutions for matrix acidizing or proppant-laden gels for hydraulic fracturing. The composition of stimulation fluids is tailored to the specific geological characteristics of the formation being treated.
