Stimulation by-product

Any substance generated or released as a result of a well stimulation treatment, such as fracturing or acidizing, that is not the primary desired product. This can include flowback fluids containing dissolved formation minerals, spent acids, or residual fracturing chemicals. Proper management and disposal of these by-products are regulated to protect the environment.
