Well stimulation

A set of techniques applied to a wellbore or reservoir to enhance the flow of hydrocarbons into the well. These methods include hydraulic fracturing, acidizing, and solvent injection, designed to overcome formation damage or improve reservoir permeability. Stimulation treatments are typically performed after drilling and completion, or during the production life of a well.
