Acid job

A well stimulation treatment involving the injection of acid into a reservoir to dissolve rock and enlarge pore spaces or flow channels. This process is applied to remove formation damage, increase permeability, and enhance the flow of oil or gas to the wellbore. Common acids used include hydrochloric acid for carbonate formations and hydrofluoric acid for sandstone formations.
