Fractal networks
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001565
Geological structures, such as fracture systems or pore networks, that exhibit self-similarity across a range of scales. These networks display complex, non-Euclidean geometries where patterns repeat at finer magnifications. Their fractal dimension provides a measure of their space-filling capacity and can influence fluid transport properties in unconventional reservoirs.
