Geosteering
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001695
The practice of directing the drill bit in real time to keep the wellbore within a specific geological target zone, such as a hydrocarbon reservoir. This process uses data from logging-while-drilling (LWD) tools to make adjustments to the well path. Geosteering aims to maximize reservoir exposure and hydrocarbon recovery.
