Bit resistivity
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004239
A measurement of the electrical resistivity of the formation taken by sensors located on the drilling bit or near it while drilling. This provides real-time data on the subsurface geology, allowing for immediate adjustments to the drilling plan. The data is often used for geosteering and identifying hydrocarbon-bearing zones as they are encountered.
