GWC
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004350
The depth in a reservoir below which pores are filled with water and above which they hold gas, marking the lower limit of a gas accumulation. It is located from wireline logs, formation pressure gradients and fluid samples. In a static reservoir it is a flat surface set by gravity, but flowing aquifer water can tilt it.
