Hot oiling
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001864
A well intervention technique that involves circulating heated crude oil or other hot fluids down the wellbore to melt and remove paraffin or asphaltine deposits. These deposits can accumulate in the tubing, casing, or near-wellbore formation, restricting fluid flow. The hot fluid is typically pumped down the tubing and returned up the annulus.
