Hot waterflooding
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001866
An enhanced oil recovery method where heated water is injected into a reservoir to displace and mobilize viscous crude oil. The hot water reduces the oil's viscosity and improves its mobility, allowing it to flow more easily towards production wells. This technique is applied in reservoirs where conventional waterflooding is ineffective due to high oil viscosity.
