Chemical wash

A fluid containing specific chemical additives, such as surfactants or solvents, pumped into the wellbore to clean the casing, tubing, or formation face. It is used to remove drilling mud filter cake, scale, paraffin, or asphaltine deposits that can impede fluid flow or cementing operations. The wash fluid is typically circulated or spotted across the target interval.
